My content, my thoughts, my digital home

I remember this quote from somewhere, “Just take things away. Don’t add.”

Today I’m thinking more around the opposite here at DTW, “Don’t take things away and yes, add more.”

Now this isn’t the case for many things, but….

Recently I came to a conclusion. This channel that I have been building up is here for one reason. Content.

Podcasts, and everything that comes with them.

Adding videos into the mix.

Blog posts, long live the the blog

For sometime it has been said that blogs are dead. Recently I hear it more. No engagement and views are minimal. Many have totally flipped and have crept out of blogging and dove into another medium.

But me, I am just doing the opposite

In fact, you will continue to see more posts coming from me. Why? Well, that’s the way I roll. I don’t live by the numbers. Even on social. The likes, the thumbs up, the hearts. And yes, even subscribers.

If I write a post and five people get something out of it, then my job is done. Because that is what we do here.

You never know what you will find here

When I mentioned I was no longer blogging on my BobWP.com site, well, it made sense of a lot of what I was talking about there, fits here. Tips on podcasting. Other insights on content. All of this being above and beyond what you already fine on the blog here.

At the same time, some of this will end up on our new show, Content Sparks.

With all of this, at times it may be a firehose, but I have my own reasons, strategies and goals, and can live with that.

Going back to what I had said about others moving away from blogging. Well, there is nothing wrong with that. Everyone has to do what they need to do. The reality is there is no one right way for everyone.

This site is my life. Others are restricted to how much content and the type of content they create because of resources, having a full time job to attend to, or others things that get in the way. I’m cool with that, and maybe I can make up for a bit of that here.

Find your way to create and consume

In any case, create content that works for you and your audience. It may be a small bit or a large pile. But just do it.

On the other side it may seem overwhelming. Too much to consume. Well, pick and choose. That’s the way it has been and always will be.

Hope you enjoy some of the continued content here and find value, something you can take away and use, and sometimes a small chuckle. It’s all good.
