Content is everywhere. So much content.
And then you stop for a moment and think, “Yeah, I would like to start a podcast”.
It might be part of your business. Or to help you build your brand. Or to share with fans of the naked rat that you are enthralled with. So many ways to go.
You figure out why you want to start one.
You decide on a topic or topics.
You Google it or use AI to see how many podcasts exist on your chosen topic.
Heavy sigh.
It’s not about the topic, first and foremost
Sure the topic does need to drive listeners who are interested. How many you end up with depends.
But seriously, it’s about you.
It’s about your co-host if you go into that direction.
It’s about your guests.
All those different voices will bring a different personality to your podcast. Your own style. Various insights and perspectives. How you drive the conversation. That is the key. And that is what will make it different.
But “that sounds too easy”. I never promised you it would be easy.
It’s what you make it. And most importantly, it has to work for you.
