I had done a few podcasts before I started Do the Woo, which is now OpenChannels.fm.

Some of them involved me talking to a guest, and others were what I like to label as a “talking head”. Now the latter is quite a bit different when you do a video podcast and you are unboxing, walking people through a learning experience, or some other visual. But I am referring more to just “talking” by yourself to your audience.

It hit me with Do the Woo

When I started up Do the Woo is was on epsiode #5 that I realized I wanted a co-host, and Brad Williams from WebDev Studios joined me. Since then I have never looked back.

Sure there are times when myself or my hosts might do a show as a single host, but they are always having a conversation with at least the guest. But those co-hosts that have hooked up on our show, well, there is often magic and nothing beats bantering off another person even with guests.

Of course, this is easier said than done. You do need to find that right person that you click with. But on the other hand, you never know what will transpire if you give it a shot.

The bottom line is to do what works for you and your audience. But never say never as an occasional co-host might just be that something you have been look
