My content, my thoughts, my digital home

Life-long learning is something I share with a lot of my friends and colleagues, and it has given me the fresh energy to hit different paths along the way.

In fact life would be really boring otherwise.

It has helped me in both my personal and business life. But also as you grow older (and I even believe there are studies about this), your brain can only handle so much storage. So as you learn new things, other memories from the past are purged, which can be problematic since there isn’t an option to pick and choose.

I bring this up and these days I get a bit more picky about what I choose to learn. Also, I choose what I truly want to learn these days. For example, video production. That’s not happening.

And I wonder, if you are trying to learn something you don’t want to learn, is that “garbage in, garbage out”.

Lastly, this limit on space shows up in so many areas of our lives. For example, the conversation when Cary Grant first meets Audrey Hepburn in the move Charade.

“I already know an awful lot of people and until one of them dies I couldn’t possibly meet anyone else.”
