i’m trying to think but nothing happens

Back in the time when I had one of the early Apple/Mac, I fondly remember a file that I installed.

Whenever I inserted a floppy disk, the voice of Curly from The Three Stooges would say, I’m trying to think but nothing happens.

As I recall you could choose when it would sound off, but I vaguely recall using it as much as I could on my Mac 512k, or maybe my Apple 128k. Not sure. And yes, this was not kid stuff as I recall I was in my early 30’s when I enjoyed that mind numbing voice.

Oddly enough, this came to mind again when I put a prompt into chatGPT. It was “thinking”. How much I would have enjoyed seeing “I’m trying to think but nothing happens” instead.

Well, that voice on my Mac is long gone and a happy memory, but often I am still trying to think and nothing happens.
