Yeah, since I don’t keep track of who I told what to, let me list a few things.
Personal life, growing up
- My dad died of a heart attack when I was 7, and I was raised by my mom and sister
- For me the 1970’s consisted mostly of rock and roll and drugs
- When I was young, one thing I wanted to do was grow up and design cars
- I have one degree, a Liberal Arts degree which came to me through the mail unexpectedly
- My step-daughter played Monica Lewinsky on the Tonight Show
- I didn’t like high school
- I sucked at sports
- For a time, in my early life, my favorite cocktail was a Rusty Nail (scotch and Drambuie) and then Tequila on the rocks
- There was a time when my hair reached my waist, easily
- I liked my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with an occasional slice of American Cheese or sliced, cheap lunch meat
Work life
- One of my jobs was dipping baskets of keyboard tops into anti-static liquid and drying them in front of a fan
- My first entrepreneurial endeavor was driving an ice cream truck (which I was doing when Mount St. Helens blew)
- I served Willie Nelson and his ex-wife wine and lunch
- I designed a program for a fundraiser at a Hollywood hotel and introduced myself to Oliver Stone after three martinis
- I quit my vacuum salesperson job after two days
- I was firex from my janitorial job because my boss said my hair was too long
- I started using WordPress at the age of 50
