Mega menus work great for online stores. They make it easy for shoppers to find what they need quickly without a bunch of clicks. Because sub- and sub-sub-menus are eliminated, there is no more struggling to find that product. In fact, it gives a single, full-width menu that is not only easy on the eyes, but on navigation.
What’s even nicer is when a quality free eCommerce theme like Storefront from WooThemes comes out with an extension that lets you create mega menus for this theme easily. Or even a Storefront child theme.

I added this screenshot to show you where you will be creating your mega menu. As you can can see, once you add the Shop widget and open it, you will have the option to create a mega menu. Once you click on that ,you can start adding widgets to your menu, sizing them, and dragging and dropping to order them.

So get your creative juices going and take advantage of the mega menus. But do be careful. Don’t make it a mishmash of links that will confuse your shoppers rather than help them. Always keep the customer in mind.
