I always love to go to WordCamps. But WordCamp Seattle has a special place in my heart as a past-organizer, part of the team, or simply because of the people and my involvement with the Seattle WordPress community over the years. Even though I live 3.5 hours away now, I’m still a Seattle WordPress homie.
And this year was no exception. In fact it was probably the best WordCamp Seattle so far. But why listen to me? Take 7 minutes and hear what over a dozen other attendees, many of them new WordCampers, experienced this year.
Yes, the People
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, yes, for me WordCamps are all about the people. And although I always regret the photo opps I missed with a lot of good friends, and new friends, here are a few to share with you. (even a selfie)
And Thank You Avalara
It’s a known fact that a lot of the reasons I am able to attend and enjoy WordCamps is because of the support of the community. This year Avalara stepped up to send me to WordCamp Seattle.
And I gotta tell you, any company that deals with taxes and also has a great sense of humor, well, in my book they are aces.
Also, I had the opportunity of chatting with Gorden about taxes for our podcast, so make sure you check that soon.
Till the next WordCamp Seattle!
