There are times when you want to give a customer a free product without the hassle of them having to go through the checkout process.
You might have been there as a customer. You are offered this free product but you have to enter a discount code and then plod through checkout. If you want to reward your customers with a free gift, make it easy. That is exactly what the WooCommerce Give Products extension does for you.
Gifting Your Customers with a Free Product
After installing and activating the extension, you will find an easy link to it via your sidebar WooCommerce menu.
When you click on the link, you will be taken to these simple settings. Select the user you want to give the gift to. And then choose as many products as you want.
If the person you want to gift is not a registered customer, you will need to set up an account for them.
After you submit the gift, an order is created and a link is listed.
The person receiving the gift will get two emails. The first one lets them know they have been gifted a product.
The second is an order confirmation. And in this case, since one of them is downloadable, they now have that link.
And the final order goes through once it has been marked completed.
If the customer goes into their account, they will be able to view it just like a regular order.
The download also shows up.
It’s that simple.
If you are looking for a way to give a product or products to your special customers, check out the WooCommerce Give Products extension.
