As WooCommerce eases over the 30% market share, we can expect to see more focused hosting plans. GoDaddy has now partnered with WooCommerce and is offering affordable plans with some enticing commercial extensions thrown into the package.
WooCommerce Ease and Focus
Using their existing onboarding process, the plan emphasizes the ease of setting up the full-board eCommerce store. It also includes the setup and maintains a free SSL certificate, which isn’t offered in the lower cost plans.
Over $1K Worth of Extensions
If you are familiar with the commercial extensions from the WooCommerce marketplace, you know that yearly licenses can start as low as $49, but some of the more popular ones are easily $199 to as high as $299.
They have chosen some of the most popular and needed extensions to include in the package. There is indication that it won’t end here and that other extensions will be offered. These are what exist at the release of this package. Note, that I have linked to the ones we have posts in our archives here.
- Checkout Field Editor
- Product Add-Ons
- Advanced Notifications
- WooCommerce Bookings
- WooCommerce Brands
- WooCommerce Deposits
- WooCommerce Points and Rewards
- WooCommerce Pre-Orders
- Bulk Stock Management
- UPS & USPS Shipping Methods
- Product Vendors
- Min/Max Quantities
- Product CSV Import Suite
There is also the chance that they will be offering some of the premium Storefont child themes as well.
The eCommerce plan starts as low as $15.99 a month (currently the deal on this level as the time of the post.)
At this price point and the number of extensions you will get, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to start your WooCommerce online store.
