If you run a WooCommerce store, likely you are using a staging site to do updates, testing etc. But often there are times when you want to be able to push content updates, such as product changes or new products, to your site specifically. You don’t need to push them over your entire site.
WPSiteSync WooCommerce Extension
With the WooCommerce extension for WPSiteSync you can update specific content, and that content only, with ease. You don’t need to worry about overwriting sales information, new customers, reviews and all that other data tied to your store.
Updating Your Product Information
As you will see in the video below, you can update your product information, and only the information you have changed including:
- Product Images
- Tax and shipping settings
- and more
Once you have installed it, and synced it to your staging or local install, you will get options to push your changes to your target site— or pull them, if you prefer.
The best way to see this in action is with video or screenshots here. So watch this video as I:
- Update product content on my local install and push it to my live site
- Publish a new product on my local install and push it to my live site
Here is a screen shot of the settings you will have to use WPSite Sync.
WPSiteSync has a free and premium option, as well as several extensions. You can learn about WPSiteSync for WooCommerce here , as well as explore their other options.
Note, in this demo we were using their local install software called DesktopServer. To learn more about that, check out my post here.
