The WooCommerce design team has been working on a prototype for a new navigation in WooCommerce. It’s streamlined to help store owners to save time by speeding up their workflow.
Feedback is very important on this proposed idea and both store owners and developers are encouraged to walk through 10 minutes of interactive tasks and questions to provide feedback to the team. For your participation, you will receive the New Navigation as a feature plugin prior to the launch.
To get started, check it out here. (The testing for this first prototype has ended)
A Personal Note:
I did go through it myself. I’m not going to give anything away, but I found it very interesting as well as more intuitive. Stuff just seemed to be in a better place. The logic made more sense as well.
Of course, it’s very different than what we are use to. And I will admit as I went through it, and following the prompts, I did get hung up once for awhile. Finally I figured it out. But I could see how my brain was working at that point and I can’t say if it was just me, or something that needs to be looked at.
Overall, it’s pretty exciting. I would encourage you to give it a whirl and will be curious to see how it is embraced by users and the community.
Did I tease you enough to do it? Come on. I’m an old dog and I still love changes.
