If you know me, you know I’m into easy. Sometimes we throw around that word only because it’s easy for us. But seriously, what I am about to show you is easy.
If you follow this blog, you know that recently I added some new services. In fact here is a post where I talk about them and some other things coming up around here. The challenge I had was to create a simple page for these four services. But not too simple. What I really mean is I had an idea and I wanted to keep it simple.
The content was minimal. And adding four short lines describing each service just wasn’t going to cut it. I needed something visual. A little eye-popping, but not a circus of text and images.
At that point, my options were:
- Use my theme’s built-in business template. But though I could create what I wanted using the Woo Features, it just wasn’t quite right.
- Mess around with some shortcodes and try to get four columns to look decent.
- Install some massive page build plugin.
That’s when it all jelled. It was the perfect solution.
Watch Me Build the Page
I created a part of the page, uploaded my images and had the text ready to go. Watch this video as I build my new page using this simple, but cool plugin.
That was easy, right? Seriously!
I would recommend checking it out the Notes widget on WordPress.org and also watch how it creates a widget with which you can edit the text and images from the front-end of your site.
You can see my live page here, and I already have an idea for using it on a second page. I will come back in and update you with that link as well.
